Sakthi Hackathon 1.0 is a landmark inter-collegiate technical event hosted by Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) in proud collaboration with the Sakthi Group of Companies. Designed to bridge academia and industry, this initiative invites student innovators to tackle real-world problem statements sourced directly from Sakthi’s diverse industrial sectors — including food, logistics, and automobile manufacturing. With an aim to foster practical problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration, the hackathon serves as a launchpad for industry-ready innovation. Throughout this dynamic challenge, selected teams will ideate, prototype, and pitch their solutions to panels of industry experts — with top-performing teams earning cash prizes and mentorship opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • - Undergraduate (B.E / B.TECH) students from any recognized institution.
  • - Teams must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 members.
  • - Interdisciplinary departments from same institution teams are welcome.

  2. Problem Statement Proposal Submission Deadline - Round 1

    Problem statement proposal must be uploaded

  3. Additional Document Submission Deadline for Round - 1 Shortlisted Students

    Theme brief, PPT, and workflow video must be uploaded

  4. Announcement of Shortlisted Teams

    Teams selected for the final round will be announced based on their submitted documents and initial evaluations.

  1. Selected Team Confirmation & Fee Payment

    Shortlisted teams must confirm participation by registering and paying a fee of Rs. 1000

  2. 24-Hour Hackathon Begins

    Starts on 13.08.25 at 10:00 AM and runs until 14.08.25 at 10:00 AM — a full day of coding, creating, and competing.

  3. Final Results & Prize Distribution

    The final results will be declared, followed by the prize distribution, from 10:30 AM onwards.
